Letrozole versus clomiphene for infertility in the polycystic ovary syndrome

• The Endocrine Society recommends either clomiphene citrate or letrozole as first-line treatment of anovulatory infertility in women with PCOS (ES, 2013).

• Letrozole should be considered as first-line therapy for ovulation induction due to its higher live birth rate compared to clomiphene citrate. (ACOG, 2018)
